This site offers a large selection of links to sites relative to the History of Maine, and in addition the Archives list many "Heritage Tours" and a way to contact them. There is also a compilation of different Historical Societies by region (including the Westbrook Historical Society).

The Archives maintains Databases for downloading such as Vital Records, Indexes to Archival Records, Maps from 1674 - 1989, various Photographs and Town Records to name a few of the Walker Memorial Libraryavailable resources.

Walker Memorial Library (800 Main St., Westbrook, ME)
"The Library has provided books and information to the citizens of Westbrook since 1894. Its primary support has been city taxes. Now the library also has magazines, newspapers, audio and video tapes, an excellent Reference Collection & access to the Internet." from the Website

The library contains an extensive Local History Room. The Society & the Library work closely together in the sharing & distributing of local historical information.
